Michael C. O'Malley

Highly qualified and experienced professional

Michael was born in Lansing, Michigan.  He is a graduate of Michigan State University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction Management.  Leaving Lansing, he has lived in Oakland County, Michigan, for almost 30 years.

After working in a variety of fields, including construction and automotive sales, he returned to his home of Lansing to attend Thomas M. Cooley Law School, when he was nearly 30 years old.  After passing the Michigan Bar Exam in 2001, Mike has worked for small and large law firms, as well as several multi-national insurance carriers.

For over 20 years, Michael O'Malley has represented a variety of businesses and individuals in matters ranging from criminal law, family law, business formation and planning to complex litigation.  Mike has represented contractors, property owners, bars, restaurants, and individuals in suits involving negligence, liquor liability, construction defects, contract litigation, family law and estate planning.

Years of field work before law school give Mike insight into the workings of  variety of businesses and construction projects, from the design phase, through contracting, construction and post-completion issues.  His real-world experience sets him apart from many other lawyers who have experienced life only as an attorney; lacking the exposure to other businesses.

Michael lives in Oakland Township with his wife and dog.  His two children are off in college and sure to conquer the world (at least he thinks so)!  In his spare time, Mike enjoys golf and the outdoors; especially hunting and fishing with his friends.
